Thank you for bringing back some great memories and for creating this great site! I am still holidaying
with Butlins!

I would like to congratulate you. The web site is fantastic. Although I have never been to Barry Island,
I feel like I stayed in Butlins and Majestic many times over. Brilliant work. The only problem was that it made me reminise
about Clacton and Pwllheli, the two Butlins establishments I have visited.

I visit Barry Island quite often. I often pass the old buildings, and remember when the old chalets were
there. However, I never went inside. It was very interesting to see how it once was, and how it now is. At least I have seen
what it's like inside before they demolish it. Thanks.

Excellent site I never stayed in the camp but did vist it a few times as a day tripper during the Majestic
period.

Stayed at Butlins Barry many times from 1975 onwards, my Dad in paticular
loved it! Anyone remember Toot and Ploot the Butlins aliens? Lack of investmant on Butlins part killed it in the end.

What an absolutely fantastic site. I visited Barry Island today with
a friend and even though I go a couple of times a year I still get so upset when I stand at those blue rusty gates.
Have fond memories of being there when I was very little with family members who are no longer with us and would love to go
on a tour around there myself. Once again thank you so much for a fantastic collection of memories. Long live Barry
Butlins!

I am so sad that the Barry island Resort has closed as I used to go there every year when I
was younger. The pictures of the camp after closure just bring tears to my eyes as the memory of Barry is so
close
to my heart its one place I will never forget and never stop
talking about!
Gemma
Wonderful site. I never worked at Barry but was a Redcoat at Clacton. If ever
you did a site on Clacton I would be the first to join. Good Luck Barry Fans!

This website is a fantastic insite into the history and present happenings
of Butlins Barry Island. It is sad to see the site being demolised but also very interesting at the same time. But the memories
will always be there in pictures and thoughts. Congratulations on a very informative and amazing website.

Just a quick note to say what a great website you have set up and to thank you for all of the memories that have just
come flooding back. I was fortunate to work here as a Bluecoat during summer 1996. I had a great summer and made many
friends amongst the team and even got a long term girlfriend after "romantically persuading" one of the guests!!! Anyway,
it all closed so quickly and I eventually ended up moving to New York then Miami and finally France for
a while. My job has me back in the UK now and as I was reminiscing about "just stuff", it was great to see your site.

This is just the best site with all the pictures of demolition. Keep up the good work!!!

Loved the site, great photo's - I'm no longer living in Barry, so it's hard for me to see the remains. Many
thanks!

Hi! What a great website! I was lucky to work at Barry in 1991 as a Redcoat DJ. I was also known as 'Adie the Atom' blown
out of a cannon every Friday...just another of the late David 'Dazling' Bradys great ideas. Wow the memories. Thanks for a
great website!
Adie James
You have done a great job guys what a great web site! Was great to see some familiar faces and names from years gone
by. If anyone would like the blue Butlins patch that was on the left pocket of the Redcoat that was issued in 86, please
email me and I will bring one to the Reunion, by the way they are free!

IVE JUST BEEN LOOKING AT THE WEBSITE WITH REFERANCE TO WHEN MAJESTIC OWNED THE CAMP. MY WIFE AND I PLUS MY PARENTS USED
TO GO TO THE CAMP EVERY SEPTEMBER ON THE LAST WEEK OF THE SEASON. THE LAST 3 YEARS OF CAMP MY DAUGHTER WAS ENTERED IN THE
BABY COMPETITION. THE FIRST YEAR WHEN SHE WAS ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD SHE CAME 3RD THE NEXT YEAR SHE CAME 2ND. AND ON THE LAST YEAR
AND THE LAST WEEK OF BEING OPENED, MY DAUGHTER CAME FIRST. THIS MEANS SHE WAS THE LAST WINNER OF THE BABY COMPITION OF THE
CAMP. HER NAME IS SAMANTHA LOUISE BATTEN, AND SHE NOW IS 11 YEARS OLD.
